Baby's feet on Kekaroo Peanut Changer

Welcome to our first "pick of the month" - a series in which I'll highlight my favorite product of the moment! And we're starting out with a really good one: the Keekaroo Peanut Changer.

I've owned the Keekaroo since day one of parenting, and I've loved it since that first diaper change. But why is this my favorite today? It's important to know the season that we're in as a family:

  1. My first-born has just turned three years old and, after a futile attempt, is taking a break from potty training.

  2. My second-born is just two months old! Sooo even once her older brother is potty trained, we'll still have quite a while with diapers.

Key things to like are that it:

  • Is squishy/cushioned, so it's comfortable for the littles to lay down on

  • Has a wipeable shell, making it super easy to clean

  • Has a slight slope, so that things are less messy when accidents happen (as they so often do in those early days)

  • Is durable!! We're going on three years of regular use without any issues

    • Technically my oldest is getting to be a bit too tall for it, but we're leaning into that as a subtle encouragement to start using the potty. Cross your fingers for us!

Some cons to keep in mind:

  • Not a dealbreaker, but I do wish it came in more colors!

  • The wipeable material can feel cold on their backs - in winter/if you live in a cold environment, you may want to lay down an extra layer for their comfort... which diminishes the convenience

  • It is on the pricier side, though I'd still say worth it!

A friend recommended the Keekaroo to me early on in my first pregnancy, and I'm so glad she did! That said, I will be so glad when diapers are a thing of the past and the changer is no longer a necessity ;) Cheers!
